Adam Paintain is the new owner of The Corner Shop, taking over the premises in May 2016. Adam has been a builder and property developer in the Solihull area for over 10 years, a profession which he entered after 10 years working for the family business, Paintain Tools in Tyseley.

However, his real passion has always been cooking. Whenever there is a family occasion or gathering of friends (we like a good party!), Adam provides the catering - making sure everyone is well fed with tasty dishes. You may have already tried his homemade quiches from the delicatessen counter, which have become one of The Corner Shop's bestsellers in just a couple of months. A taste of things to come!

Adam's previous experience as a builder has been put to good use in the transition to the new business, refurbishing The Corner Shop to a high standard throughout and - most importantly - fitting a brand new catering-grade kitchen in what used to be the back store room.

The Corner Shop is a family affair with Adam's Mom, Sally and Dad, Ron closely involved. Stepdad John, professional chef of forty years and owner of the Manor House Tearooms in Solihull, has also shared his expertise in setting up the new business. On any given day when you call in for your shopping, you may meet other members of the family or our friends, helping out or just popping in to say hello.

Adam and his small team are very excited to be joining such a vibrant community as Hampton-in-Arden and have already been made to feel extremely welcome.
